Yes, you can type and look for your shoes at the same time. There is a online video tutorial site called Creative Live. They have live and archived versions of their tutorials on photography and the transition from traditional photography to DSLR Video.
Many of their introductory and post class discussions are available to view so that you get a sample of what the style of the presentation. This is Vincent Laforet & Chase Jarvis Chat talking about what it takes to get it going and their discoveries along the way.
