There seems to be room for a poet or two. This is a short demonstration video on Design by DJHomeslice that shows you some of what you can do with Wideo.
Wideo is in Beta but I think it is worth a look-see. The service compares itself as an alternative to PowerPoint and some of the other web animation creation services.
It seems simple enough for novice to intermediate users. What I was concerned with was the quality of the video rendering text. It does a good job. You can add your own photos and other items or just use what is available.
There are training videos on site as well as a blog to help you get grounded in the software. Wideo is free, all you have to do is sign in and you can make a video. Free videos will have the Wideo logo. If you want to download a copy or have a non-logo version there is a fee.
It is a viable option that is waiting for you to check it out.
